I looked up as we cross paths and to my amazement it was her. Lady of the night full of unique dark beauty. I was to shy and nervous to say anything. She smiled and continued on as if it she had a important date or so. Never seen her again after that night. The city of Long Beach Ca has got its magical moments. Be cautious

Let me just say this music takes me back to another time in my youth. The romance noir movies of the 50's and early 60's; it really is a great video and listening experience, especially to those who can relate to earlier times. Love it all.........

i had just gotten out of a 4 year relationship. we met when we were 17,18. Started off as good friends, kept it casual and friendly. One day i fell for her hard and asked her to be my girlfriend. She became my best friend and i just remember feeling nothing but happiness. Obviously as any relationship goes on there's bumpy roads and hardships. We fought through them, forgave each other, and didn't want to give up on each other. I still remember that night. It was just another random monday night. I waited for her to come over to my place to eat dinner i prepared for us both. I was, at this point, still happy and looking forward to our lives together. I walked outside to bring her in, that's when she told me she doesn't want to do this anymore. She didn't want to keep fighting it, she gave up. Didn't allow me to have a say, opinion, or even a vote. Mainly cause i was speechless but just like that she left me. Its been about 2-3 months since then and i still miss her. I'm doing a lot better now mentally but it gets hard at night when i lay down and she isn't there to laugh with me about what happened to me at work or just anything about my day. About to be 23 in a few months and i want to find my self, find my true purpose. In the midst of the heartbreak i still find it a blessing. Maybe God didn't want me to be with her? For whatever the reason, im taking it as a blessing/learning experience. I hope she finds her happiness in this life and is able to flourish no matter what it is.. I mean i do remember telling her when we started dating that the one thing i always wanted for her was true happiness even if that meant not having me in her life. I love her that much that im willing to not be in her life if that meant she was able to be happy. Maybe she didnt find that happiness she wanted with me. It's probably just my fault. Idk but im leaving this here for anyone going through a breakup to just keep going and don't let one person determine how the rest of your life goes. Be your own happiness and love yourself. You're not alone. With love, a stranger from the internet❤.

I had my fair share bad luck when it came to women. The games the double talk the high standards and the men tripping over themselves just to get to them was enough to put a guy like me at the bottom of the list of men to be wanted. Once you're on the bottom for way too long you begin to get comfortable there you start to think that no woman in their right mind would ever want to consider you that is until she walked into the bar. She was a beauty like no other slender figure well endowed hair black as night slender nose and ice blue eyes and every step she took was like a sashay whenever she walked. She was a type of woman that would give you chills the minute you looked at her but the real shocker was that she sat right next to me why maybe cuz it was the only open seat at the bar maybe I was the only one who wasn't gawking at her but she sat right next to me and gave me a smile that stopped my heart then in its tracks. I knew I shouldn't have but the temptation to talk to her was too strong and when I asked her her name I melt when she spoke and such a smooth silk tone Emma. And we couldn't stop talking for the rest of the night. And my experience a woman that good looking either causes trouble or attracts trouble and I've always been a trouble-free zone. But sometimes trouble can be your best friend

Another night here , i keep looking at the candle on my table , how it slowly diminishes without making a diference , just a little brightness into someoness life and then forgotten ,....why do i keep on this line of work ? Do i think im making a difference? Im i brining light to somebody's life ? Just trouble after trouble for a few buck's , - "maybe i should retire , just call it quits " - , i look out the window , the rain its still pouring , the city streets lighten by the neon lights near my window , the jazz vinil on the background would probably make this a romantic scene for someone else , but im sick of it , sick of the long night's, the solutide , the false promises , and the death ... oh yeah death , you are always a sure expectator in my dealings , i know you are waiting , waiting for me to make a false move , and perhaps i would even welcome your embrace sometimes , but not yet .... not before i feel i made a diference , even if tiny . I pour myself another scotch , this has been my only real company , i open the window and take a deep breath of the city air , there's a knock on the door , when i answer i she her , long black raven hair , pale porcelain skin and green emerald eyes , eyes that pierced your soul .. She was in trouble , i knew the moment i saw her , i offered the lady a drink to calm her nerves , she looked frighten, they always do , maybe this a worthy couse , otherwise it would buy my next bottle...

It had been a long day for me that night, we had to collect debt money for the don from this poor bastard of a guy. he borrowed a loan and ended up getting a really expensive sports car with the money and with no way to make as much as he owed to the don, we had to rob him of some of his possessions and went on our way. For some reason this favor to the don… didn’t sit right in my stomach after. I did plenty of jobs before just like this and worse but something about this job made me realize, I may be feeling remorse after all these years… after I got home that day I couldn’t sleep thinking about all I’ve done to those people but the mafia… its my duty, my family…I don’t know where I’d be without it
